Terms of Service

Effective Date: April 5, 2026

Welcome to Giggity. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Our goal is to provide a secure infrastructure for local work. To maintain that security, we require all users to adhere to the following rules.

1. The Giggity Platform

Giggity is a communications and logistics platform that connects individuals seeking services ("Clients") with independent individuals offering services ("Gigsters").

  • Giggity is not an employer, employment agency, or temp agency.
  • We do not provide the services ourselves. We provide the digital marketplace, payment escrow, and coordination tools to facilitate the transaction between the Client and the Gigster.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

To use Giggity, you must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming legally binding contracts.

  • You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information during onboarding.
  • Gigsters must submit to our ID verification process to offer services.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Independent Contractor Status

Gigsters operating on Giggity are strictly independent contractors running their own local operations.

  • Gigsters control their own schedules, accept or reject gigs at their sole discretion, and provide their own tools or equipment unless otherwise agreed upon with the Client.
  • Giggity does not dictate how, when, or where a Gigster performs a task, beyond the parameters agreed upon between the Client and the Gigster in the app.

4. Payments and Escrow

To protect both parties, Giggity uses a secure escrow system powered by Stripe.

  • When a Client posts and assigns a gig, the total payment is charged and held securely by Giggity.
  • Funds are only released to the Gigster's connected account when the gig is marked complete.
  • Users agree not to circumvent the Giggity payment system by paying in cash or off-platform. Bypassing the escrow system removes all platform protections and is grounds for immediate account termination.

5. Acceptable Use and Safety

Our community relies on mutual respect. You agree not to use Giggity to:

  • Post or apply for illegal, highly regulated, or inherently dangerous tasks.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against any other user.
  • Share another user's private information, including exact addresses, outside the context of a confirmed gig.

6. Limitation of Liability

While we verify IDs and hold funds in escrow, Giggity cannot guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided by Gigsters. Users assume all risks associated with dealing with other users. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Giggity shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the platform or the services performed.
